This week on TABLE TALK, Jeff sat down with Destiny Lugardo from PhilliesNation.com to discuss a number of Philadelphia Phillies storylines as we’re in the offseason. What direction might Dave Dombrowski take this team in terms of talent acquisition, and might some surprises be on the horizon in terms of pitching and batting talent? Topics that Destiny and Jeff dove into:The Phillies front office recently saw some surprise promotions over this past week. What do they mean for the future of 2025 and beyond?A realistic look at whether or not the Phillies can acquire Juan Soto.Where should the Phillies should be focusing their free agent attention this offseason? What might the depth at the catcher position look like in 2025 and beyond? All of this and much more this week on Table Talk!Head over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.com.Follow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow the show on Instagram: instagram.com/philadelphiasportstable.
Week 10 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2024-2025 season is now in the books as they beat the Dallas Cowboys down in Dallas in bright and sunny AT&T Stadium by a score of 34-6. While the Cowboys are a complete mess of a team, especially on offense, the Eagles took care of business and are now 7-2 on the season. They play the Washington Commanders this coming Thursday, which will determine who leads the NFC East division at this point in the season.Jalen Hurts had a “tale of two halves” game against the Cowboys. A fumble and interception in the first half gave us concern, but he pulled things together in the second half and was on fire, especially with A.J. Brown. The Eagles defense is playing lights out football. They are being coached extremely well, and they’re generating turnovers. Quite the turnaround from where they were against Tampa Bay earlier this season. As always, we gave our top themes, thoughts and opinions from the game on offense, defense, and special teams, and then graded each unit on both sides of the ball, as well as the coaching staff.Head over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.com.Follow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow the show on Instagram: instagram.com/philadelphiasportstable.

Ochoa from BloggingTheBoys.com over at SB Nation joined us this week for our preview! The Eagles are coming off a win against the Jaguars where coaching decisions were questioned throughout this week, rightfully so. The Birds are 6-2 on the season, and face a division opponent in the Cowboys who has faltered over the weeks, looking to rebound if they can.Topics R.J. and Jeff dove into:- The Cowboys lack of offseason moves are coming back to bit them at this point in the season.- Assessing how quarterback Cooper Rush may perform this week under center.- A struggling Cowboys offensive line against a prolific Eagles pass rush.- What are the matchups we’re looking at closely on both offense and defense. All of this and much more during this week’s pregame preview show!Head over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.com.Follow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenLen: @LenHunsickerErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow the show on Instagram: instagram.com/philadelphiasportstable

Week 9 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2024-2025 season is now in the books as they beat the Jacksonville Jaguars down at The Linc by a score of 28-23 in a game that could very well have been a loss based on head coach Nick Sirianni’s decision-making throughout the game. Sirianni cost his team what should have been an easy win with about large number of questionable in-game decisions on fourth down, conversions, and overall game management. While Jalen Hurts was not totally perfect, he once again proved that he doesn't have to do it all. This team can win with him, and doesn't need to win because of him. DeVonta was also one of the saviors of this game along with Saquon Barkley and his 159 yards on the ground, averaging 5.9 yards per carry. The Eagles defense stepped up massively in this game in spots when they needed to.The team now stands at 6-2 on the season, still neck-and-neck with the Commanders for the top of the NFC East division. This week, we were joined by good friend of the podcast, Josh Shuster from PhiladelphiaSoccerNow.com to analyze what we saw on the field. As always, we gave our top themes, thoughts and opinions from the game on offense, defense, and special teams, and then graded each unit on both sides of the ball, as well as the coaching staff.Head over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.com.Follow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenLen: @LenHunsickerErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow the show on Instagram: instagram.com/philadelphiasportstable.
The Philadelphia Eagles are making positive waves in the NFC East and NFC overall. Since the bye week, the defense has come on strong, and Jalen Hurts continues to develop in a number of ways. This week, Chris Deibler from the Party on Broad platform and Birds of the Round Table podcast joined us to dissect what we’ve been seeing from the Birds as they’ve 5-2 on the season. It was a fantastic discussion! But first, the guys dove into some Flyers talk. It has been frustrating watching this team on the ice. What have we seen so far, and is there any optimism that the team can turn itself around? (Approx. 2:55)From there, the guys talked about a frustrating start to the Sixers season as Joel Embiid and Paul George still haven’t seen any action. The Sixers were fined by the NBA, and they haven’t been transparent about Embiid’s injury. (Approx. 10:55)We then got into some Union talk as we prepare for the offseason. What will this team need to do to rebound in 2025? (Approx. 22:20)On the Table this week, Chris Deibler from Party on Broad joined the show for an in-depth discussion about this Eagles team on both offense and defense. Jalen Hurts continues to grow this season. What Saquon Barkley has meant for a changing offensive scheme. Vic Fangio’s defense has been one of the best in the NFL since the bye week with young players doing good things. All of this and much more on the Table this week! On this week’s OPPOSITION TERRITORY pod, we’re previewing the Week 9 matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Gus Logue from BigCatCountry.com over at SB Nation joined us this week for our preview! The Eagles are coming off a dominant win against the Bengals where the defense produced a consistent pass rush, and the offense moved the ball down the field at will. Might we seem the same kind of game against the Jaguars this week as Doug Pederson comes back to Philly? What will we see from the Jaguars offense?Topics Gus and Jeff dove into:What does the Jags’ wide receiver depth look like with all the injuries they’ve sustained? An assessment of Trevor Lawrence at this point in the season and his career overall. The Jaguars defense has struggled to stop running quarterbacks throughout the year. How might they try to contain Jalen Hurts? What are the matchups Jaguars Nation are mostly concerned about heading into this game against the Eagles both on offense and defense? All of this and much more during this week’s pregame preview show!Head over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.com.Follow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenLen: @LenHunsickerErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow the show on Instagram: instagram.com/philadelphiasportstable.
This week on TABLE TALK, Jeff sat down with Josh Rodriguez from “The Dime with Josh & Kwab” podcast to discuss the first week of NBA action, and what we’re seeing early from some talent and teams. Are there surprising players and teams for us to keep our eyes on? Topics that Josh and Jeff dove into:Two players that have been surprising after just a few games. What we’ve seen early on from the Knicks in terms of their on-the-court play that may continue to translate throughout this season in a positive fashion for them.Thoughts on the NBA investigation into Joel Embiid.A discussion about some NBA overreactions after just one week of play on the court. All of this and much more this week on Table Talk!Head over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.com.Follow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenLen: @LenHunsickerErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow the show on Instagram: instagram.com/philadelphiasportstable.
Week 8 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2024-2025 season is now in the books as they beat the Cincinnati Bengals on the road by a score of 37-17 in a game that we’re dubbing the tale of two halves. While the Eagles offense struggled to execute consistently during the first half, it was the complete opposite during the second half. Although the defense only had one sack in the game, they showed consistent pressure, especially in the second half. Jalen Hurts doesn't have to do it all. This team can win with him, and doesn't need to win because of him. This was probably the Eagles most complete game this season. The team now stands at 5-2 on the season, and are neck-and-neck with the Commanders for the top of the NFC East division. This week, we were joined by good friend of the podcast, Josh Shuster from PhiladelphiaSoccerNow.com.As always, we gave our top themes, thoughts and opinions from the game on offense, defense, and special teams, and then graded each unit on both sides of the ball, as well as the coaching staff.Head over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.com.Follow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenLen: @LenHunsickerErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow the show on Instagram: instagram.com/philadelphiasportstable.

Then we’ll get into our predictions for the Sixers regular season record, where they’ll finish in the Eastern Conference, and other NBA predictions as well! But first, the guys dove into some Eagles talk, specifically how Howie Roseman hit on Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean in the draft, and their importance moving forward. They also discussed how us Eagles fans need to come to the realization that Jalen Hurts isn’t changing as a quarterback in various ways. (Approx. 4:25)From there, we talked about youth sports, how a few children have died this year from head injuries, and whether or not contact-sports are still okay for kids to play. (Approx. 16:10)We then got into the question of whether or not the Phillies window for a championship is now closed? John Sheeran from A to Z Sports joined us this week for our preview! The Eagles are coming off a dominant win against the Giants where Saquon Barkley and the rushing attack went wild. What will we see from the Bengals defenders up front along the defensive line? And can A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith take advantage of the Bengals secondary?Topics John and Jeff dove into:What is the Bengals offensive identity at this point in the season as we look at their rushing attack and receivers?Orlando Brown Jr. is injured. What does that mean for the Bengals offensive line? How should we be looking at the Bengals secondary this week as they’ve had 8 passes defended in each of their last two games? What are the matchups Bengals Nation are mostly concerned about heading into this game against the Eagles? All of this and much more during this week’s pregame preview show!Head over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.com.Follow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenLen: @LenHunsickerErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow the show on Instagram: instagram.com/philadelphiasportstable.

Week 7 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2024-2025 season is now in the books as they beat the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey by a score of 28-3 in a game that was dominated by the Birds’ rushing attack and Saquon Barkley on the ground. Putting up 176 yards rushing and a touchdown, Barkley certainly dominated his old team. Jalen Hurts only threw the ball 14 times. While his stat lines look great, there's still some unease about his play and how he's seeign the field. The Eagles defense played their best game of the season, getting contributions from just about every player on the field. This week, we were joined by good friend of the podcast, Matt Rogers from The Honorable Mention Podcast.

Will the New York Giants will be brining a solid defense to the field, and can they disrupt Jalen Hurts and this Eagles offensive line?Topics Chris and Jeff dove into:The overall feel of the Giants season heading into week 7.Analysis of QB Daniel Jones at this point in the season as this team looks to take steps forward.Without OT Andrew Thomas, can this Giants offensive line - and the offense in general - be as effective? What are the matchups Giants Nation are mostly concerned about heading into this game? All of this and much more during this week’s pregame preview show!Head over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.com.Follow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenLen: @LenHunsickerErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow the show on Instagram: instagram.com/philadelphiasportstable.
This week on TABLE TALK, Jeff sat down with John Stolnis from the Hittin’ Season podcast at BillyPenn.com and WHYY to discuss how the Phillies fell so fast in the postseason, and what this offseason may look like for Dave Dombrowski and some of the talent on this team. What kind of shake-up do they need as we look to 2025? Topics that John and Jeff dove into:The pressure of expectations on the team, and lack of overall patience at the plate was the overriding issue. The player(s) who completely gave us that disappointment in the playoffs.Numerous platoons aren’t working. So, how will the front office handle the left field and center field position before the start of the 2025 season? When it comes to Bryson Stott and Alec Bohm, which of these players should we be more worried about as we look to the future? All of this and much more this week on Table Talk!Head over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.com.Follow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenLen: @LenHunsickerErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow the show on Instagram: instagram.com/philadelphiasportstable.
Week 6 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2024-2025 season is now in the books as they beat the Cleveland Browns at The Linc by a score of 20-16 in a very underwhelming game, which seemed like a moral loss. Thankfully, this team had WRs A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, as well as LT Lane Johnson back on the field. Who knows what would have happened with this game in their absence. While the Eagles won this game, they didn’t look too great coming off their bye. This week, we were joined by good friend of the podcast, Matt Rogers from The Honorable Mention Podcast.
